Katelyn Segarra is a Latin-American soubrette soprano currently attending Texas State University as a Vocal Performance major and is also a working Stage Manager. She is from Houston, and hopes to bring her love for music and performance beyond Texas.
She is currently in her Junior year at Texas State University. She has performed the role of Mademoiselle Silberklang in The Impresario and Ida in Die Fledermaus. She is active in the school of music, helping with Bobcat Days, ran supertitles for the Spring of 2022 production of Xerxes, currently sings the national anthem at all commencement ceremonies, and is the current Head School of Music Ambassador.
Katelyn began working in Stage Management as a PA for the production DeMaskUs in the Spring of 2023. Since then she has worked as an ASM for She Kills Monsters, an ASM for New Works Festival: 70.3, a Student Actor Supervisor for A Christmas Carol at ZACH Theatre, and recently completed the show Urinetown as the PSM. She looks forward to continuing her Stage Management journey by working as the PSM for Texas State’s Fall 2024 production of The Medium.
