Katelyn Segarra is a Latin-American soubrette soprano and Stage Manager based in New Braunfels, TX. She is a recent Texas State University graduate, graduating with a BM in Vocal Performance.
During her time at Texas State, she performed the roles of Mademoiselle Silberklang in The Impresario and Ida in Die Fledermaus. In her Junior year, she presented her first recital titled, “I Love Me More.” In the summer of her Senior year, she attended the Sull’Aqva program in Venice, Italy, performing in the Gran Gala Lirico, directed by Marco Paladin. Upon her return, she presented her Senior Recital, “My Soul’s Reflection.”
Katelyn began working in Stage Management as a PA for the production DeMaskUs at Texas State in the Spring of 2023. Since then she has worked as an ASM for She Kills Monsters, an ASM for New Works Festival: 70.3, a Student Actor Supervisor for A Christmas Carol at ZACH Theatre, the PSM for Urinetown, the Stage Management Intern for Austin Opera’s productions of Verdi’s Requiem and Madame Butterfly, the SM for Giulio Cesare, and most recently as the Lighting Programmer for the Strutters Winter Show.
